Articles Based Around The Car and Automotive Issues

A few months ago everyone strongly believed that fuel costs could at last have been getting to a more stable level, I mean a litre of fuel dropped to as low as 90 pence, but things seem to be taking a slide once again as we see prices increase to over the pound mark.

It seems really strange to me, just because of the fact that the vehicle industry have been suffering somewhat and they have now seen a rescue package in the form of the scrappage system. This is simply where the government give you £1000 for new cars and the manufacturers give you another £1000, so in total you get £2000 towards a new car if your vehicle is older than a decade.

It leads you to wonder as to whether or not the increase in fuel prices were planned to cover losses from the scrappage system. I mean everyone knows that no one gives away money, not even the government, so there must be more to this then meets the eye.

In a sense by increase the tax of fuel the government could be getting their money back from that avenue. We are currently in a credit crisis, the costs should literally be lower then low, but they are not, they are forever increasing.

Although the authorities have said that they are doing this to help save the environment, that saying could in fact be true, but I in no way see them losing cash to save the planet becaouse that is just not the way that things seem to work in the world.

So summing up if you are looking to get a new vehicle then I would go for one that is a lot more economical to save you money on fuel.
